The ESNcard is your ESN membership card. It comes with every ESN Lund membership and opens 1 500+ discounts across Europe. Here is who can get one, how to activate it, and why the plastic card is still worth picking up.

Activate your card at esncard.org
The discounts across Europe are run by ESN International, and they only work once your card is activated on their website. Only you can do it, and it takes about two minutes:
Open esncard.org/about and press Register (or Log in, if you already have an account). Use any e-mail address
Confirm your account from the e-mail esncard.org sends you
Fill in your profile and choose ESN Lund as your section.
Add your card number with the date you got your card.
Your card number, the date to type and a Check again button are all on My ESN. It can take up to a day before partners see the activation.
Don't fall for the ads, you don't need to download anything or enter your credit card details
esncard.org unfortunately shows a lot of ads, and some of them lead to shady services - we have raised this with ESN International and we apologise for this. Start from esncard.org/about , use an ad blocker or a computer for better experience.
Pick up the physical card
At our own events you need nothing but your account. Membership is checked digitally, so member prices and members-only events are simply there when you are signed in.
We still strongly recommend picking up the physical card and carrying it on Timetravels trips and when you use esncard.org discounts — travel, hostels and local offers. The whole ESN network is moving to a fully digital card, but it will take a few years to get there, and many partners still ask to see the plastic one.
It is waiting for you at the office: come by during any office hour, no appointment needed. The twelve months printed on it run from the day your membership was paid for, not from the day you collect it.

Who can get the card?
The ESNcard is available for those who have Studentlund membership and are either:
A foreign student or intern
An ESN volunteer or alumni
A Lund University international mentor or student ambassador
If you are a Swedish student going on exchange, you should instead get the card from an ESN section in your host country.
Not eligible for Studentlund? You can still join through a special membership in the Academic Society (Akademiska föreningen) — read how on the Studentlund page. If you are an intern, a trainee or here on a research visit, write to [email protected] and we will sort it out by hand.
149 kr. That buys one or two semesters of ESN Lund membership — up to the last semester you tell us you are in Lund — and an ESNcard valid for twelve months comes with it.
The two run on different clocks, which is ESN’s rule rather than ours: member prices at our events follow the membership, the discounts across Europe follow the card. When your membership ends, you can renew it online — you confirm your Studentlund membership again and get a new ESNcard with it.

Questions about the ESNcard
When I enter my ESNcard number to get a discount the verification fails
Make sure you have created an account and registered your card on esncard.org. Note that it might take up to a day for the databases to sync after registering your card.
How can I benefit from the Ryanair discount?
Follow the instructions at esncard.org/ryanair.
Can I get an ESNcard online?
Yes. Become a member on this site and pay online — the ESNcard comes with the membership, and its number is on My ESN as soon as it is yours. The physical card is collected at the office during any office hour, no appointment needed, and its twelve months run from the day you paid.
I have an ESNcard from another section. Can I use it here?
Yes, you can benefit from the same partner discounts. However, you must be a member of ESN Lund to get discounts on our events.
I lost my ESNcard. Can I get a new one?
You can purchase a new ESNcard in our office.
